
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin mourns on-screen mother Catherine O'Hara

Macaulay Culkin remembered his on-screen mother from Home Alone, the late actor Catherine O'Hara. Schidt's Creek co-creator Dan Levy also paid tribute to O'Hara.
The death of Catherine O’Hara at 71 has led to outpouring tributes from the colleagues and friends she worked with throughout her acting career. Known for her unmatched comedic timing in classics like Home Alone, Beetlejuice, and the hit series Schitt’s Creek, the actor died on Friday in Los Angeles following a brief illness.
Actor Macaulay Culkin, who played O'Hara's on-screen son in Home Alone movies captioned his Instagram post as, "Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later (sic)."

In another emotional tribute, Schitt’s Creek actor and co-creator Dan Levy's Instagram post read, "What a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance for all those years. Having spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family. It’s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her (sic)."
