High time backdoor entry to medical colleges stopped, says Delhi High Court
India Today
Delhi High Court while dealing with a petition by five students who were studying at a medical college without going through the NEET-based counselling process said that it was high time that backdoor entry to medical colleges stopped.
Delhi High Court pushed down on backdoor entries to medical colleges, saying that lakhs of students worked hard to secure admission to various educational institutions on the basis of merit.
The court made this statement while dismissing a plea by five students who had been granted admission by LN Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal, in 2016, without going through the centralised counselling conducted by the Department of Medical Education (DME).

Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
