Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth announced their separation a few months back. Fans were upset and wondered what could have gone wrong. However, yesterday, Aishwaryaa wished Dhanush's brother on Instagram and we are wondering if the couple solved their differences.

Aishwaryaa took to her Instagram stories and shared a sweet birthday wish for director Selvaraghavan, elder brother to her estranged husband Dhanush.

“Happy birthday my guru, friend, father figure and I can go on @selvaraghavan (sic)," she wrote. The director reposted Aishwaryaa's message on his account and wrote, "Thank you my dear daughter (sic)."

Dhanush took to Twitter to announce separation from Aishwaryaa, the elder daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. Dhanush wrote, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate (sic)."
