Hate speech accused Yati Narsinghanand studied in Moscow, worked in London
India Today
Yati Narsinghanand says he studied in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur during the 1980s. He moved to Moscow for an engineering course in 1989 and later worked in London.
Before October 2019, Yati Narsinghanand was only a 'troublemaker' for the Uttar Pradesh Police and little known beyond a small group of his followers at the Dasna Devi Mandir in Ghaziabad. As Dasna Mandir head priest, Yati Narsinghanand made headlines two years ago with his threat to “eliminate” Muslims after Hindu Samaj leader Kamlesh Tiwari was murdered in Lucknow over his comments on Prophet Muhammad.
Two years later, Yati Narsinghanand, in his mid-50s, is multiple-FIRs-old. He is now accused of yet another hate speech at a Dharm Sansad in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. He was one of the organisers of the three-day Dharm Sansad, where a call was given to take up arms against Muslims and to ensure that “a Muslim does not become prime minister in 2029”.

Two years ago, former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina warned of an alleged plot by a 'white man' to establish a Christian state. In 2025, the Mizoram CM said Ukraine war veterans were using the state to enter Myanmar. The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.

Pradyut Bordoloi was a dyed-in-the-wool Congressi who vowed to never leave the party. The physical attack on him in 2025, and the Congress embracing "communal elements" pushed the Lok Sabha MP into joining the BJP. Bordoloi's exit from the Congress after three decades is significant for the party and Assam's politics.
