Haryana: Husband, his lover arrested for killing woman in Sonipat

Haryana police have arrested a man for killing his wife after she became aware of his affair with his brother's wife. They killed the victim and staged it as a road accident.

Haryana Police have arrested a man and his sister-in-law from Sonipat district for killing the man’s wife. As per the report, the accused, Johnny’s wife Manju, was found dead near Sector 4 Hockey Ground in Sonipat, Haryana.

The incident, which appeared to be a road accident at first, later turned out to be a murder staged to look like an accident, after the postmortem of the wife’s dead body revealed attack marks by a sharp instrument on the woman’s body.

Taking this into account, a case was filed by the police and later Johnny and his elder brother’s wife, Meena, were arrested by the police. During the investigation, the duo confessed to having killed Manju because she came to know of her husband’s adulterous relationship with his elder brother’s wife.

After finding out about the illicit affair, Manju was creating trouble for both Johnny and Meena, as a result of which they, along with the help of two more accomplices, killed Manju and staged it to appear like a road accident.

Sub Inspector at Police Station (Sector 27), Kuldeep, said that both the accused have been arrested and will be produced before the court to be taken into remand. The search for the other two absconding murderers is also underway.
