Harsh Goenka calls Mumbai Metro 'better than Paris, London, New York'
India Today
Industrialist Harsh Goenka's positive review of Mumbai Metro Line 3 has received a thumbs up from the internet.
Harsh Goenka’s first ride on Mumbai’s Metro Line 3 has set social media abuzz, not just for his glowing review, but for the larger question he raised about infrastructure standards in India.
The industrialist recently tried the Aqua Line and described the experience as unexpectedly impressive, even by global standards.
In a post shared online, Goenka admitted he hadn’t anticipated being so taken aback. “Yesterday, for the first time, I travelled on the Mumbai Metro. I must confess, I was pleasantly surprised,” he wrote.
He noted that the station was impeccably clean, the train punctual to the minute, and the overall system smooth and well-managed. He also mentioned that the ride felt “remarkably uncrowded,” adding lightheartedly that running into colleagues during the journey was an added bonus.
What stood out most, however, was his comparison with international transport systems. “Having been in Paris, London, and New York metros, this experience was definitely the best,” he said. The comment caught attention, given the reputation of those cities for their established transit networks.
