Hard Rock International closes 10 outlets in India, including three cafes in Bengaluru, while Goa hotel remains open.
Hard Rock International has formally terminated its agreements with JSM Corporation and related entities, covering the right to operate all Hard Rock Cafes and Rock Shops in India with immediate effect.
Under this new development, 10 Hard Rock cafes across Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Pune will close down. However, The Hard Rock Hotel in Goa, which is connected to a different operator, would remain open, said Hard Rock International in a statement.
In Bengaluru, Hard Rock ran three outlets — on St. Mark’s Road, at Gate 7 of Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport, and in Whitefield.
Hard Rock International is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which operates its global hospitality, cafe, and casino operations.

The U.S. has launched two investigations under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 against India and other economies to examine practices that may be ‘unreasonable or discriminatory and burden or restrict U.S. commerce’. One probe examines whether countries, including India, are using excess manufacturing capacity to export to the U.S. in a manner that hurts American businesses, while another looks at whether countries have taken ‘sufficient steps’ to prohibit imports of goods produced with forced labour.
