Gully Boy rapper MC Tod Fod passes away at 24. Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi mourn his loss

Gully Boy rapper MC Tod Fod has passed away at the age of 24. Ranveer Singh and Siddhant Chaturvedi mourned the loss of the young rapper.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Gully Boy rapper MC Tod Fod lost his life at the age of 24. The cause of his death is not revealed yet. For the unaware, Dharmesh Pawar aka MC Tod Fod had lent his voice for the song India 91 in Zoya Akhtar's movie, Gully Boy. Upon learning about MC Tod Fod's untimely demise, Gully Boy actors Ranveer Singh and Siddhant Chaturvedi mourned the death of the young rapper. MC Tod Fod was associated with Mumbai-based hip-hop collective, Swadesi.

Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram story and shared a photo of MC Tod Fod with a heartbreak emoticon. On the other hand, Siddhant Chaturvedi penned 'RIP Bhai' while sharing a snapshot of his conversation with MC Tod Fod on his Instagram story.

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar's film Gully Boy was inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy. In the film, Ranveer Singh played the role of Murad, an aspiring street rapper. On the other hand, Siddhant Chaturvedi played the role of his mentor, MC Sher. The film also featured actresses Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Varma, and Vijay Raaz in important roles.

Meanwhile, on the movie front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie is set to release on May 13, 2022. Besides this movie, the actor will be seen sharing screen space with Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus. Ranveer also has the Anniyan remake and Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani lined up in the pipeline.

As far as Siddhant is concerned, the actor was recently seen in Gehraiyaan. Next, he has three films lined up which include Yudhra, Phone Bhoot and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.
