Gujarat HC was hearing a plea to quash several complaints filed against actor Shah Rukh Khan in a lower court at Vadodara, related to the death of a person during a movie promotion event in 2017.

The Gujarat High Court on Thursday was hearing a plea to quash several complaints filed against actor Shah Rukh Khan in lower court at Vadodara.

The case pertains to the death of a man at Vadodara railway station during a promotion event for Shah Rukh's movie Raees. A complaint was filed at the lower court in Vadodara on behalf of the relatives of the deceased.

A petition was filed in the Gujarat High Court seeking dismissal of the complaints against SRK. The actor's lawyer argued that no offense has been made against Shah Rukh Khan. The plea stated that the deceased was a heart patient and died due to the same reason.

The high court adjourned that matter to be heard on February 24.

The high court asked the lawyer of the applicant that if the aggrieved party agrees, then Shah Rukh Khan will be asked to apologise.

On January 23, 2017, Shah Rukh rode a train to promote his movie Raees. A huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the superstar.

Chaos ensued and police had to resort to lathi charge to control the crowds. One person reprotedly died in the incident.
