Ground Report: Most Kolkata shops are yet to get fresh stock of Remdesivir

At a time when states across the country have reported a shortage of Remdesivir, India Today carried out a reality check to find out whether popular medical stores in Kolkata have Remdesivir in stock.

Various states have reported a shortage of Remdesivir drug, which is being used to treat critical Covid-19 patients. Last week, the Centre slashed the price of Remdesivir by nearly Rs 2,000 per injection. The drug will now be sold for as little as Rs 899. However, in Kolkata, most stores that India Today TV visited said their stock was over. India Today TV conducted a reality check to understand availability of the vital drug in Kolkata.
