The lush lawns of the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) in Madhapur came alive on Wednesday night as a large audience gathered for a special performance by three-time Grammy award-winning composer Ricky Kej. The event was part of the annual Pt. Maniram Sangeet Samaroha.
Mr. Kej captivated listeners with soulful renditions from his Grammy-winning album, Divine Tides. Infused with global influences and themes of environmental consciousness, his compositions struck a deep chord with the audience.
The evening commenced with a sitar performance by Chiraj Katti, whose intricate mastery of the instrument was complemented by Shubh Maharaj’s dynamic rhythms on the tabla. The duo’s mesmerising interplay created a spell-binding atmosphere, setting the perfect tone for the night.
