The attempt to match the biometric records of the accused of the Golden Temple sacrilege bid with the Aadhaar database failed as the accused was not issued an Aadhaar card, sources said on Monday.
Punjab Police has failed to identify the accused, who was allegedly lynched to death by devotees, after he attempted to barge into the reserved area at the Golden Temple in Amritsar where the Guru Granth Sahib is kept, sources said on Monday.
The attempt to match his biometric records with the Aadhaar database failed as the accused was not issued an Aadhaar card, they added.
