Gold smuggling case: Kerala High Court quashes crime branch FIR against ED

The Kerala High Court on Friday quashed an FIR registered by the state crime branch against the enforcement directorate (ED). The court further directed the probe agency to hand over all case-related documents in a sealed cover to the trial court. Primary case was that the Enforcement Directorate team, which is probing the Kerala gold-smuggling case, forced Swapna Suresh to give false statements, and implicate chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the case.
