Gangubai Kathiawadi box office collection Day 3: Alia Bhatt-starrer continues to shine

Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is making all the noise at the box office. The film was released on February 25.
Alia Bhatt's latest offering, Gangubai Kathiawadi, has left fans asking for more. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film was released on February 25. In the first weekend, the film managed to bring back the audience to the theatres and collected Rs 23.82 crore.
Alia Bhatt’s biggest career risk, Gangubai Kathiawadi, has paid off. The story revolves around a young woman, Gangubai, who ran the brothels in Mumbai's Kamathipura. While the film earned Rs 10 crore on the opening day, by day 3 the film has managed to collect Rs 23.82 crore.
The numbers were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film saw a 40-50% growth in occupancy on Sunday. According to Box Office India, the night shows in Delhi are also going full.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama based on Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Besides Alia Bhatt, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Parth Samthaan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.
