Gangubai Kathiawadi box office collection Day 21: Alia Bhatt's film slows down gradually

Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi released in the theatres on February 25. The film did exceptionally well when it first opened in the theatres. However, it slowed down gradually. On Day 21, it reportedly earned Rs 6.21 crore.

Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi is doing great not just in India, but in Australia as well. The film has managed to surpass the collections of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Raees in the foreign country. However, it is now slowing down gradually. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gangubai Kathiawadi earned Rs 6.21 crore on Day 21.

Besides Alia Bhatt, Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Ajay Devgn, Parth Samthaan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. The story is about a woman, Ganga, who travels from Gujarat to Mumbai with her partner, but gets sold off and pushed into prostitution. She then becomes a madame named Gangubai in the redlight area of Kamathipura. The film follows her rise to power and fighting one challenge after another. Gangubai Kathiawadi is produced by Jayantilal Gada.
