The Delhi Police has arrested gangster Kala Rana of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Here is the criminal history of Kala Rana.
The team of Counter Intelligence Unit, Special Cell, Delhi Police has arrested wanted accused Virender Partap aka Kala Rana aka Tiger who was running wanted in dozens of heinous criminal cases executed by him in association with his jailed gangster-accomplices Lawrence Bishnoi - Sandeep Kala Jathedi and others.
Accused Kala Rana was carrying a reward of Rs 1,00,000 upon his arrest. In a case in 2020 he, along with his associates, had barged into a jeweler’s shop in Ambala, Haryana and while committing dacoity, had killed manager of the shop by shooting him dead.
Kala Rana’s entry into the world of crime began with his friendship with Monu Rana. Monu was an active member of SOPU (Student Organization of Punjab University - a brainchild of Lawrence Bishnoi) and was a rival of one Bhuppi Rana, belonging to a rival student group of Punjab University. In 2014, he, along with Monu Rana, had executed a murder in this ongoing rivalry. While in jail, he became close friends with Sampat Nehra, a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Kala Rana made headlines in the year 2017, when he, along with Sampat Nehra and others, had opened fire on one Rajender, the real brother of ex-MLA Dilbag Singh. A case was registered in this regard. The accused has been declared a proclaimed offender in this case by the court in 2019.
In 2019, it was reported that he had left India using a fake passport.
In February 2020, a desperate criminal namely Raj Kumar was deported from Thailand. During interrogation, Raju Basodi had disclosed that Kala Rana was also operating from Thailand.
Ever since, Kala Rana had been acting as the communication, finance and investment hub of Lawrence Bishnoi - Kala Jathedi alliance. Of late, Kala Rana had become the most feared name in at least four states. He was the one who, along with another fugitive gangster Goldy Brar, suspected to be operating from Canada, had got executed brutal inter-gang as well as extortion-motivated murders.
