Frequent VVIP visits hampering counter-terror operations in Kashmir Valley?

Before the spate of terror attacks in Kashmir Valley targeting minorities and non-locals, the security grid was involved in VVIP tours. According to highly placed sources, the Kashmir Valley saw as many as 200 VIP visits including that of ministers, parliamentary delegation, judges and senior government officials.
With a surge in terrorist activities in the Kashmir Valley, officials tackling security situation in the Union Territory have pointed to frequent high-profile visits saying these “are hampering counter-terror operations” in the region.
