Former student offers to build new classrooms for govt. school

A nearly-60-year-old government school near Dharapuram in Tiruppur district will soon have four new classrooms, with an alumnus offering to bear the expenses.

The rescued girls are aged between 14 and 17 years. They are from different parts of the country, including Tripura, West Bengal, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, while three girls are from Bangladesh, Police Commissioner B. Dayananda said. They will be handed over to their parents, while the victims from Bangladesh will be deported after due procedure.
