Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan hinted at the diminishing boundaries between the Left and the Right while referring to the political arrangements of coalition governments that Kerala has witnessed since the 1970s.
He was sharing the dais with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who on Wednesday released a book written by former Income Tax Commissioner and Chief Minister’s former private secretary R. Mohan in Thiruvananthapuram.
The book titled Story of Schisms and Isms - Kerala from the Twilight of Monarchy to the Present touches the political and socio-cultural history of the State since its formation and acts as a reference for any history enthusiast who wants to delve into the State’s dynamic political archive.
Mr. Satheesan received a copy of the book at a function held at Mascot Hotel.

After mandating pet dog licensing and microchipping, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) bids to do the same for cattle to curb stray cattle issues and man-animal conflicts in the streets. The civic body has moved to make it compulsory for cattle owners to obtain licenses for their animals across all zones.
