Customs officials at Kochi Airport catch passenger smuggling $50,000 hidden in magazine pages to Kuala Lumpur.
KOCHI: Customs officials at the Kochi International Airport booked a passenger, Jayakumar from Edappally, who was allegedly attempting to smuggle US dollars concealed between the pages of a magazine while en route to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysian Airlines flight MH 109. According to a communication from the Customs department, the seized currency amounted to $50,000, valued at ₹41,92,200.
