Proof of vaccination is the new mandate being adopted by technology majors, as they look to reopen their offices across the US following widespread vaccine administration. The companies are also extending the dates for office reopenings with the delta variant on the spread in the country.
It seems the return-to-work policy for technology majors is quite clear - those vaccinated against Coivd-19 will be allowed to return to the offices. Microsoft is the latest tech giant to adopt this approach for its workforce. The company confirmed its decision in a recent statement. It stated that its employees in the US, who are wishing to return to the offices, will have to show proof of vaccination to do so. The new mandate will come into effect starting September.
Meta has hired the team behind the agentic AI startup Dreamer. The startup was founded by former Google executives Hugo Barra, David Singleton, and Nicholas Jitkoff, who will now work on Meta's agentic AI plans. This announcement comes after Mark Zuckerberg acquired the AI social media platform Moltbook to bolster agentic AI development.
