Five dead in Agra village from falling in septic tank, UP CM announces Rs 2 lakh ex gratia each

Four men died while trying to rescue a minor who had fallen into a septic tank in Agra’s Fatehabad area on Tuesday. The child also died in the incident.

In a major accident that took place in the Fatehabad tehsil area of Agra, four people from the same village died from poisonous gas while trying to rescue a 10-year-old kid from a newly-dug septic tank. According to the available information, a 10-year-old child was playing outside his house when he slipped and fell into a recently-dug septic tank in the Pratap Pura village of Fatehabad Tehsil in Agra on Tuesday evening. The kid became unconscious as soon as he fell into the tank. Four people, including two of the child's brothers Hari Mohan and Avinash and cousin Sonu, jumped into the tank to save him, but they all became unconscious. Their neighbour Yogesh also tried to save them but he too became unconscious.
