The first edition of the Touring Talkies Frame and Fame Awards 2026 was held at the Kamarajar Arangam in Chennai on Sunday (January 25)
The first edition of the Touring Talkies Frame and Fame Awards 2026 was held at the Kamarajar Arangam in Chennai on Sunday (January 25). The organisers honoured artistes, technicians, and creative professionals who have made remarkable contributions to the industry.
The event was attended by veteran actors Sivakumar, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, YGee Mahendran, S Ve Sekhar, Ponvannan, Ilavarasu, Yugi Sethu, Jayaprakash, Sheela, Rajashree, Kumari Sachu, Kutty Padmini, Ambika, Poornima, Rekha, Sukanya, and Devayani Rajakumaran. Among the current generation of actors, Ravi Mohan, SJ Suryah, Arjun Das, Manikandan, Simran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Swasika, and Redin Kingsley graced the event, while veteran filmmakers Kasthoori Raja, KS Ravikumar, P Vasu, Suresh Krissna, B Vikraman, Vasanth Sai, Vasantha Balan, Vetri Maaran, Ram, Lingusamy, Mari Selvaraj, Venkat Prabhu, Siruthai Siva, Rajkumar Periyasamy, and Desingh Periyasamy, Ravikumar, Charan, Muthaiah, Ponram, and Seeman were also present.
Also in attendance were many acclaimed technicians, like production designer Thotta Tharani, cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and Niketh Bommi, music composers Nivas K Prasanna and Sai Abhyankkar, and costume designer Praveen Raja. Producers who attended the event included Kalaippuli S Thanu, Sathya Jyothy Thiyagarajan, M Kaja Mydeen, LK Sudheesh, AL Azhagappan, GKM Tamilkumaran, Anandha Suresh, T Siva, and Kannan Ravi.

The jury of the award ceremony comprised veteran actor-filmmaker K Bhagyaraj, who served as the Chairman, acclaimed actors Khusbu Sundar, Ilavarasu, producer T Siva, and popular filmmakers RK Selvamani and RV Udayakumar. The jury evaluated performances and contributions across 30+ award categories, spanning acting, direction, music, technical excellence, and creative achievements.
As a major highlight of the event, Dhanush won the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) award for his performance in Idli Kadai, while Aishwarya Lekshmi won the same in the female category for her stellar turn in Maaman. Samuthirakani won the Best Actor in Supporting Role (Male) for Kaantha; Swasika took home the Best Actor in Supporting Role (Female) for her performance in Maaman. Abishan Jeevinth won the Best Direction award for Tourist Family, while his acclaimed film was award Best Picture.
