Milkha Singh passed away last night (June 18) due to post-Covid complications. He was 91 years old. Farhan Akhtar, who played the role of the legendary sports icon in his biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, spoke about him in an interview with Rajdeep Sardesai of India Today Television. He recalled their first meeting and how he touched his life. When asked about his first thoughts when he came to know about Milkha Singh's demise, he said, "I was overcome with many emotions. It's an incredible loss for India, for sports, for his family, of course, and me personally. I try to tell myself that he did lead a long life. He lived till the age of 91. It was a nice full life. And to his credit, he built a life for himself that was filled with love and surrounded by people who loved him and cared for him deeply and whom he loved and cared for deeply.
