The release date of Farhan Akhtar’s Toofaan has been postponed. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Toofaan’s release has been delayed due to the severity of the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic in India. The sports drama was supposed to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 21, but has been pushed keeping the current crisis in mind. TOOFAAN RELEASE DATE POSTPONED Toofaan is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar. Announcing that Toofaan’s release date has been pushed, the makers wrote in a statement, “The situation in India is truly heart-breaking, and we at Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures send our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the pandemic. In light of the the severity of the situation, our focus is completely on the pandemic and on supporting our employees, their families and in helping the wider community. Therefore, we have taken the decision to postpone the release of our film 'Toofaan' until the situation improves. We will issue an update regarding the new release date in due course of time.”More Related News
