Farhan Akhtar’s daughters, Shakya and Akira, will attend his and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding on February 19. A close friend of the couple exclusively told IndiaToday.in about the bond Shibani shares with Farhan’s kids.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are all set to take their relationship to the next level on February 19. They will get married in the presence of close friends and family members. Farhan, who was married to Adhuna Bhabani before parting ways in 2017, has two daughters with her Shakya and Akira Akhtar. A close friend of Farhan told IndiaToday.in that the two girls will be present at their dad Farhan's wedding with Shibani.

Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar met on the sets of the reality show I Can Do That. They started dating after a while and have been going strong for many years. Now, they are set to get married. Farhan’s two daughters with his ex-wife Adhuna - Shakya (21) and Akira (15) will attend his and Shibani’s wedding. A close friend of the couple tells us that the girls are quite friendly with Shibani and have taken a liking to her as a friend.

The friend revealed, “Shibani and Farhan were in no rush to get married. They took their time to get to know each other. They dated for a while before even getting into any sort of serious relationship. So the process of Shibani entering the Akhtar household was very gradual and slow.”

Farhan Akhtar, who is very close to his daughters, never forced them to form a bond with Shibani Dandekar. The friend added, “He introduced Shibani to his kids early on, so that they got to know her a bit and also got to spend time with them. It is beautiful how the kids have formed a bond with Shibani and now will be at the wedding to officially welcome her into their family.”

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding will take place at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's Khandala farmhouse on February 19. The couple will exchange vows, instead of a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony or a nikah. Reportedly, a Mumbai reception has been planned by Farhan and Shibani for their industry friends.
