Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday spoke on the BJP's alliance with Eknath Shinde for the Maharashtra government and said the family is reunited along Balasaheb's ideology.
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said, “We never felt the Shiv Sena and BJP were two separate parties. We did get separated in between, but we have gotten together again. The family got reunited.”
He was addressing the Shinde camp MLAs in a late night meeting held at the Hotel Taj President in Mumbai on Saturday.
He said, “All of you who came with us are true Shiv Sainiks. You have brought along Balasaheb’s ideology in the true sense.” He further added that they now have to work together to bring back the past glory of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also present at the meeting. He addressed the MLAs and said, “We have fulfilled Balasaheb’s dream. Today, in the true sense, the Shiv Sena-BJP government has come into place.”
Shinde said in the last few years, several things have brought down Shiv Sena’s image. “The way ministers with links to Dawood were being saved, the way Savarkar was being insulted created uneasiness among Shiv Sainiks. It was painful that all these were hurting the Shiv Sena’s image,” said Shinde.
Shinde further added that they tried to explain the situation to the Sena leadership but they couldn’t understand and it led to today’s situation. “What is the point if we cannot give justice to our voters? Now Devendra Fadnavis is with us and he has tremendous experience,” said Shinde.
