Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who assumed office on Wednesday, has been a dedicated politician. But he had sparked a debate by choosing state politics over his family way back in 2015 when he got divorced.

Bhagwant Mann's emotional side and dedication towards politics came to the fore on Wednesday when his daughter Seerat Kaur Mann (21) and son Dilshan Mann (17), who now live in California, US, reached Khatkar Kalan to take part in his oath-taking ceremony.

A lesser-known fact about Bhagwant Mann is that he had sacrificed his family life for politics. He garnered a lot of criticism for his decision despite the fact that his wife, Inderjeet Kaur, played a big role in his initial political career. A media report quoted her saying that she may be physically away from Bhagwant but remembers him in her prayers.

Bhagwant Mann in his previous interviews had explained that it was not possible for him to live with the family as he wanted to live in Punjab to fulfil his political goals.
