
Facebook Marketplace turns into wild wild west where criminals and hackers rule, says report

According to a report, Facebook Marketplace has been overrun by criminals and hackers and the Facebook content moderators don’t always flag off scams they believe are taking place in the virtual bazaar.
Facebook Marketplace, a platform that was introduced in 2016 and has around 1 billion users has become a place for hackers to dupe users, says a new report. Marketplace is a dedicated hub where people can post used items for sale including cars, clothes, boats, toys and get connected to buyers, usually living in the same area, to complete the transaction.

Meta has hired the team behind the agentic AI startup Dreamer. The startup was founded by former Google executives Hugo Barra, David Singleton, and Nicholas Jitkoff, who will now work on Meta's agentic AI plans. This announcement comes after Mark Zuckerberg acquired the AI social media platform Moltbook to bolster agentic AI development.

OpenAI is offering big incentives to private equity firms in a bid to raise more funds. The ChatGPT-maker is offering a minimum return rate of 17.5 per cent, as well as early access to its new AI models.
