Expect rollout of Covid vaccine for children aged 12 and above by mid-October: Zydus Cadila MD

Zydus Cadila MD Dr Sharvil Patel told India Today that three-dose ZyCoV-D vaccine will be available by mid-October for people above the age of 12.

Zydus Cadila MD Dr Sharvil Patel informed on Saturday that his company will start rolling out its three-dose ZyCoV-D vaccine, which will also be available for children above the age of 12, by the middle of October. ZyCoV-D, which is the only needle-free Covid vaccine in the world, got the DCGI approval for emergency use authorisation (EUA) on Friday after recommendation from the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSO).
