Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has said the officers who violated the law and committed mistakes are facing trouble now.
Speaking to reporters in Vijayawada on Tuesday, the Home Minister said, “The Government has arrested suspended IPS officer P. Sitarama Anjaneyulu, with evidence. Irrespective of the ranks, we will punish the accused.” TDP leaders were booked in fake cases and harassed during the YSRCP regime, she added.
On driver V. Subramanyam’s murder (door delivery of body case) in Kakinada district in 2022, Ms. Anitha said as per the request of the victim’s family members, the State government ordered a thorough investigation of the case.
