Erode ranks second in Tamil Nadu with 97.98% pass percentage in Class 12 exams
Erode district registered an overall pass percentage of 97.98 in the Class 12 public exams, securing the second place in the State. The results have improved by 0.56 percentage points compared to 2024-25.
Of the 22,279 students who appeared for the exams from 222 schools in March 2025, 21,829 passed. While boys recorded a pass percentage of 97.21, girls achieved 98.65. A total of 107 schools produced centum results, including 37 government schools in the district. Among the government schools in the State, Erode ranks second with an overall pass percentage of 96.88.
An official from the School Education Department said special attention was paid to schools that had low results last year, which helped improve their performance this year. “Three such schools produced centum results, while the pass percentage improved in 13 of them,” the official said. The official added that 1,223 students secured full marks in various subjects.
