Erica Fernandes wins Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Actress, expresses gratitude in emotional note

Erica Fernandes has won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Actress in Indian TV. She took to social media to expresses her gratitude in an emotional note.

Erica Fernandes has a new reason to celebrate now. The actress, who was last seen in the television show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, is thrilled as she was awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Erica received the award for being the best actress 2021 on Indian Television. She took to social media today, February 16, to express gratitude to her family, friends and fans in an emotional note. For the award function, the actress looked gorgeous in a black outfit.

Erica Fernandes, who earlier quit Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi 3, received the award for her character, Sonakshi on the show. She posted several photos wherein she can be seen celebrating with her friends and family by cutting a cake. She also shared a picture of herself posing with her trophy. Sharing the photos, Erica wrote, "It is an honor to receive the #dadasahebphalkeaward for a character so close to me. It feels worthwhile for all the efforts, heart, and soul I have put into shaping Sonakshi, of course with the help of my director and my co actors. As a kid, somebody once told me that one day someone would give you a platform to project your talent; what you do of it is in your hands. No one can make you or break you. It's up to you to work towards it and build yourself (sic)."

Erica Fernandes added, "Personally, for me, it started as excitement, and then the enthusiasm grew so much that it turned into anxiety while I was receiving the award. ( and that happens every time I walk up to receive an award ) What was overwhelming was to see how thrilled people around me were! From my family and friends to my Ejfians and members of my society, all were very excited and had a scene of pride. I want to conclude by expressing how grateful I feel for the blessings and love I have and continue to receive from everyone. #thankyouforthelove #blessed #ericafernandes (sic)."

For the award ceremony, Erica Fernandes looked stunning in a glittering black skirt and matching top. She sported a stylish black jacket over it. Erica tied her hair in a sleek bun and wore a beautiful choker with her outfit. Her makeup was also on point.
