England series a good opportunity for India to test bench strength before T20 World Cup: VVS Laxman

India vs England: Former India batsman VVS Laxman urged India to test their bench strength in the 5-match T20I series against England. The two teams will be in action at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from March 12 to 20.

Former India batsman VVS Laxman has said the upcoming T20I series against England at home provides India with a good opportunity to test their bench strength and arrive at a settled combination for the T20 World Cup. Laxman said India have a very formidable squad and it's now up to the team management to pick and choose players with quite a lot of T20 cricket set to be played in the next few months before the T20 World Cup, which will be played in October-November in the country. India take on England in a 5-match series, starting March 12 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Expectations are high as World No. 1 England take on World No. 2 India before the Indian Premier League, which is scheduled to get underway in India from April 9.
