Ekta Kapoor launches Bigg Boss-like metaverse-based reality show Lock Upp

Ekta Kapoor unveiled the metaverse-based reality show Lock Upp today, February 3. It will be streamed on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer.

ALTBalaji and MXPlayer have collaborated for their first digital reality show Lock Upp: Badass Jail, Atyaachari Khel. Ekta Kapoor launched the show in Mumbai today, February 3. It will live stream 24x7 and have 16 celebrity contestants locked up behind bars with the host as the tough jailer. Lock Upp is being hosted by a Bollywood actress.

Lock Upp is touted to be the biggest and the most fearless reality show where 16 controversial celebrities will be put together in a lock-up for months and will be stripped of their amenities. It is being claimed to be the world's first metaverse-based fantasy game. It promises to be an engaging captive reality show with all the ingredients that will keep you glued to your seat. A daring celebrity host, compelling tasks, dramatic fights, and an interesting mix of contestants who will do anything & everything to survive in the jail is the perfect amalgamation of entertainment.

Speaking about Lock Upp, Ekta Kapoor said, "I am glad to announce India’s biggest and the most fearless reality show Lock Upp." She congratulated the show's host and further added, "Lock Upp is being launched on a massive scale and has all the elements that make for an entertaining reality show. Earlier there were reports that the makers are in talks with actresses Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas to host the show.
