
ED searches properties of Karnataka Congress leader Manjunath Gowda

ED officers search properties of Congress leader Manjunath Gowda in Shivamogga. He was elected president of Shivamogga District Cooperative Central Bank on Sept 29. Earlier, he was accused of irregularities. Searching his houses in Thirthahalli and Shivamogga; police deployed at properties.
The officers of the Enforcement Directorate said to have been conducting searches in the properties that belonged to R.M. Manjunath Gowda, Congress leader and president of Shivamogga District Cooperative Central Bank.
Manjunath Gowda was elected to the post on September 29. He assumed the office for the sixth time. Earlier, he was an accused of irregularities in the bank.
The officers are searching his houses in Thirthahalli and Shivamogga. Policemen have been deployed at the properties.

A team of agricultural scientists and students from Iowa State University, U.S., visited the expansive farmlands of Kollengode earlier this week. The 14-member delegation, led by Ajay Nair, professor of agriculture, and Catherine Suboda, associate professor, studied various farming practices being followed in and around the region.
