
DU to conduct workshop on stress management, acquiring leadership skills for officials

Delhi University is going to conduct a workshop on stress management and acquiring leadership skills for officials of the varsity and its affiliated colleges.
A four-week training programme on managing stress, developing motivation and acquiring leadership skills, is going to be conducted by the Delhi University for its officials, as informed by a senior official. The assistant registrars and administrative officials of the university will be able to take part in the programme which will begin from February 21.
The participating officials will not only be trained in stress management, but also in handling financial matters such as budgets and audits, ranking and administrative subjects related to promotions and pension, etcetera.
Expanding on the programme, a senior official of the university said, "We will call various speakers to apprise the officers of various aspects... This four-week programme is for upgrading their skills and knowledge and is for Group A officers."
The official added that the speakers in the programme will also speak about handling stress.
"During these testing times we also want to apprise the officers about handling stress. Everyone faces stress, be it due to office work or due to issues at home, and it is important to talk about how to tackle it," he added further.
The programme closed for registration on Saturday.
While other participants will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 3,000, it is free for Group A officers.
