Don’t share views on AIADMK-BJP alliance on social media: Nainar Nagenthran to party workers
BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday (April 18, 2025) urged his party leaders, office-bearers, and workers to refrain from expressing opinions about the AIADMK-BJP alliance on social media platforms.
Speaking at a function in Chengalpattu, Mr. Nagenthran said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami had conducted detailed discussions before formalising the alliance. “The high command of both parties will discuss and take decisions if anything is required. I appeal to all office-bearers and workers not to share views about the alliance on social media. Our ultimate objective is to work together to unseat the DMK and ensure the National Democratic Alliance’s victory in the 2026 elections,” he said.
His comments came a day after the AIADMK urged its office-bearers not to express views to the media on the position and activities of the organisation without taking prior approval from the party leadership.
Later, while speaking to media, Mr. Nagenthran said, “Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is afraid of defeat. That’s why he is calling our alliance [AIADMK-BJP] an opportunistic one. Is the DMK-Congress alliance a natural one?”
