Teachers and other staff of Delhi government's education department who were deputed for Covid-19 duty have now been ordered to report back to their parent department tomorrow , that is February 28 in view of reduced Covid-19 cases in the state as per an official order issued on Saturday. Delhi schools will also be switching completely back to offline, or physical mode from April 1, thereby discarding the online education system.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), which is chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, decided to withdraw all the Covid-19 restrictions from Monday.
It has also reduced the fine for not wearing masks from Rs 2,000 to Rs 500 while allowing for physical classes to resume in Delhi schools from April 1.
The services department has ordered them to "stand relieve forthwith all ad hoc DANICS, Gr-I, Gr-II, Gr-III, Gr-IV (DASS) officers/officials" who have been deployed by services department or substituted by administration departments for Covid-19-related duties in various departments of the Delhi government.

The Department of Education's directive further said that if they do not return to normal duties, "appropriate action" will be taken.
Teachers, IT assistants, and DEOs assigned to DDMA (HQ) will continue to work there until further orders, according to the order.
