Disha Salian’s father files FIR against Aaditya Thackeray, ex-top cop, and actors  

Father of Disha Salian demands case against Aaditya Thackeray in connection with daughter's death in 2020.

In the latest development in Disha Salian’s death case, a 75-page-long First Information Report (FIR) was registered on Tuesday (March 25, 2025) with the Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Vivek Phansalkar.   

In his complaint, Satish Salian, father of former celebrity manager Disha Salian, has named several high-profile names such as, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, actors Rhea Chakraborty, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi, former police commissioner Parambir Singh and dismissed Mumbai police officer Sachin Waze among others. The complaint demands registration of a case against all the names who are allegedly the accused in the 2020 case.

Presenting the case, advocate Nilesh Ojha in a press conference said, “Today, we have filed a written complaint with the Commissioner of Police. The Joint Commissioner of Police Crime has accepted our complaint today and registered an FIR. The accused mentioned in the complaint are Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi, Rhea Chakraborty, Sachin Waze, and his bodyguard, Parambir Singh who was the Mumbai Police Commissioner in 2020 when Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput died. Singh was the mastermind behind the entire cover up in the case and on purpose he held a press conference and fabricated lies to protect Aaditya Thackeray.”  

The written complaint has to be treated as FIR as per direction given by the Bombay High Court in the case of Sudhir Vora Vs. Commissioner of Police 2004 Cr. L. J. 2278. The FIR makes shocking claims that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) findings suggest that Aaditya Thackeray was allegedly involved in a drug racket and the evidence of it is submitted along with the complaint, Mr. Ojha said.   

Mr. Ojha also alleged that there were eyewitnesses who had seen actors Aditya Pancholi and Dino Morea, and Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray and his bodyguards gang-raping the celebrity manager. 

The complaint filed by Mr. Salian said that Disha Salian was not just gang-raped but was brutally murdered by all the accused named in the case and it is a conspiracy hatched by the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. “We demand a fresh probe into the death of Disha Salian and the interrogation of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray,” Mr. Ojha told journalists.
