Dirty politics, arrogance will shatter Trinamool: PM on President's 'insult' row
India Today
PM Modi said that the Trinamool Congress government's mismanagement of the Draupadi Murmu event is an insult to the Constitution of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday slammed the Trinamool Congress on Sunday over the alleged "insult" of President Draupadi Murmu. While delivering his speech at the inauguration event of the Delhi Metro, the PM said that Trinamool does dirty politics in West Bengal, and its arrogance would shatter the party.
"Droupadi Murmu had gone to Bengal to attend a major celebration of the Santhal. But instead of honouring the President, the TMC boycotted this sacred and important event. She herself comes from the tribal community and has been concerned about the development of the tribal community. The TMC government left that event to mismanagement. This is not only an insult to the President, but also an insult to the Constitution of India." Modi mentioned, as reported by the news agency ANI.
