Despite lower attendance, Delhi schools upbeat after reopening
India Today
In the first week of reopening of offline classes, private schools in Delhi witnessed a lukewarm response. However, the school administrations are upbeat because not only their students are slowly returning back to physical classrooms but are also taking the onus for maintaining Covid-19 appropriate behavior.
When the Delhi government had announced the reopening of schools for students of Classesn9 to 12, the parents, students as well as school managements had expressed their nervousness and concerns. While school administrations were excited about the students returning to the physical classrooms, getting the consent of their parents appeared to be a mammoth task. A week after the reopening, the schools are alive again, but with the Covid-19 norms in place. In an East Delhi private school, one could notice the social distancing inside the classroom as students attended the lecture on ‘Sufism’. A mobile phone mounted on a small tripod infront of the blackboard broadcasted the same lesson to those attending the class in online mode. The masks were on. And students along with books, copies and pens were armed with their sanitizers.
Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
