Desher Mati actress Shruti Das alleges online abuse over dusky skin, approaches cops

TV actress Shruti Das recently approached the police via E-mail where she alleged that she has been abused online for two years over her dusky complexion. Shruti is currently seen playing the lead role of Noa Bose Mukherjee in the Bengali TV series Desher Mati. Shruti originally hails from Katwa in Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal. According to police sources, she has not provided her local address in Kolkata or her contact number. The details that she has given are also incomplete. The police have reached out to Shruti over E-mail and social media asking her to provide more details on the basis of which they can initiate an FIR (First Information Report).
