Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Saturday inaugurated the Day Long Annadhanam (free food) scheme at the Parthasarathy Swamy temple in Triplicane in Chennai. According to an official statement, Mr. Udhayanidhi inaugurated the scheme as a part of implementing the announcement made in the Assembly during the demand of grants for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE) Department for 2025-26. Free food will be provided for 82 days, including Saturdays and other special occasion days, and it will benefit 82,000 devotees, it added. HR and CE Minister P.K. Sekarbabu were among those were present.
