Several private laboratories in Delhi have stopped collecting swab samples to test people for Covid-19 infection due to the overload of the samples in recent days. The backlog is so heavy that many private labs prefer not to collect samples anymore. A glitch in data uploading two days ago also led to the delay in the test results of Covid-19. When India Today TV spoke to a number of private labs in Delhi, all of them expressed their inability to collect samples as the pending cases are yet to be cleared. "There was a glitch in data uploading due to which many samples piled up for two-three days. The RNA extractor costs around Rs 50 lakh and with a capping on the testing cost, it's impossible for us to buy another one to get the results soon," the managing director of a private lab said on conditions of anonymity.More Related News
