Delhi receives early morning showers; more rain likely today

Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Saturday as showers lashed the national capital. As per the prediction by the weather department, generally cloudy sky, accompanied by light to moderate rain and thundershowers in Delhi today.
For the second consecutive day, parts of Delhi received light to moderate rain early on Saturday morning, bringing a much needed respite from the sweltering heat. The downpour also resulted in a dip in temperature as the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperature settled at 24.4 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a generally cloudy sky, accompanied by light to moderate rain and thundershowers in the national capital today. According to the weather department, conditions are likely to remain the same for the next two to three days.
Mercury is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
