Defence ministry to publish details of procurement on website to promote 'ease of doing business'

The defence ministry has approved a proposal to publish details of procurement on its website in order to promote 'ease of doing business'.

In order to promote transparency in the capital acquisition process and facilitate 'ease of doing business' in the defence sector, the Ministry of Defence has decided to publish relevant details of planned procurements on its website. Defence minister Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal mandating that service headquarters publish the relevant details on the service headquarters or Ministry of Defence website within one week of the receipt of approvals, the defence ministry said in a statement.
