Iqbal Kaskar revealed before the NCB whereabouts of the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who is accused of the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts.

The location of the underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, is an open secret. Various reports published over the years claimed of Dawood’s presence in the neighbouring country - Pakistan.

However, Dawood's location was reaffirmed when his brother, Iqbal Kaskar, arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in June 2021, confessed that Dawood, Chota Shakeel and Anees Ibrami live in Pakistan.

Iqbal also made a significant disclosure about Javed Chikna, accused of the Bombay bomb blasts. He told the National Investigation Agency (NIA) that Javed used to smuggle drugs in Pakistan and had been to jail for that.

Dawood’s nephew Alishah Parkar, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on May 23, had also unravelled the whereabouts of Dawood. He told the ED that Dawood was in Karachi.

Alishah also revealed before the ED that Dawood’s wife, Mehjabin Ibrahim, connected to his family over the phone during festivals.

Last month, on August 4, the NIA arrested a close associate of Chota Shakeel, Iqbal Qureshi. Qureshi was allegedly involved in the operations of the D company and stayed in Mumbai’s MT Ansari Road in Mumbai Central.

The NIA registered an FIR on February 3 against close associates of Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel. The associates were allegedly involved in smuggling, illegally possessing property, money laundering, and narco-terrorism. They also had links with international terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed(JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
