On Tuesday, May 10, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the severe cyclonic storm, Asani, will likely weaken into a depression by May 12.
Afterwards, IMD predicted that it would likely recurve and move along the Kakinada and Visakhapatnam coasts and emerge into the adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, off north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts.
