Well, today we will explain to you everything you need to know about CUET, what is the difference between CUET and CUCET, who can appear for CUET, etc.
CUET stands for Common University Entrance Test. It will be a computersied entrance examination for admission to 45 central universities of India. The examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency, NTA, in the first week of July, after the Class 12 term 2 board exams will be over. The application window for the same will open in the first week of April.
The Common University Entrance Test, CUET, will be conducted for the admissions to 45 central universities of India. Therefore, students of Class 12 will be eligible to appear for the entrance exam.
For the last many years, we have been seeing the trend of sky rocketing cut-offs at several central universities, including Delhi University for admissions to undergraduate courses.
As per experts, this is because CBSE, CISCE and the different state boards in India all have different evaluation patterns, which makes it unfair for students applying to central universities with a wide diversity in evaluation patterns.
Therefore, a single common entrance test will be taken for everyone who is applying at these 45 central universities. NTA will prepare a merit list after CUCET based on which the central universities will admit students.
Some of the major central universities covered under CUCET or CUET include Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jamia Millia Islamia, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, Sikkim University, Mizoram University, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Central Univerity of Kerala, etc.

Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
